Coordinated Public Transit-Human Services Transportation Plan
A Coordinated Public Transit-Human Services Transportation Plan (CPT-HSTP) identifies transportation needs and recommended improvements for seniors, young people, individuals with lower incomes, people with disabilities, and others who depend on public transportation services. The goal is to enhance mobility and improve access for users of the system; minimize duplication and encourage cost-effective coordination among providers; and highlight gaps and priority needs that require additional attention.
The CPT-HSTP is developed in close coordination with users and providers of transit and transportation services. The resulting plan must be reviewed every four years to capture changes in needs, services, and gaps, as well as to maintain eligibility for a variety of state and federal funding sources. In addition, projects included in the plan are updated every two years to coincide with WSDOT's consolidated grant funding cycle.
The region's updated Coordinated Public Transit-Human Services Transportation Plan was adopted in November 2022.
